That sentence is on every page of this site and it is not decoration. Gelagen is a dietary supplement, which is a category of food. It is not a medicine, it is not licensed as one, and it does not treat acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, alopecia, thyroid disease or anything else with a name.
On the words FDA registered, and what Gelagen may claim
The label states manufacture in an FDA registered facility. A facility register is a list of addresses that manufacturers are required to be on. It records where a factory is, not that anyone has inspected what came out of it and approved it.
No dietary supplement sold in the United States is FDA approved, this one included. Any page or badge suggesting otherwise about any supplement is misleading, and a seal reading FDA APPROVED on a supplement carton is a claim nobody is entitled to make.
On the biotin in Gelagen
Two gummies supply 5000 mcg of biotin, roughly 167 times the daily value. Biotin at that level is a recognised cause of interference in laboratory immunoassays, including thyroid function tests and cardiac troponin. This is a documented analytical problem, not a toxicity, and the entire fix is telling the person who takes your blood that you use a biotin supplement.
On the absence of collagen in Gelagen
Despite the brand name, there is no collagen in this product. Not on the Supplement Facts panel, not in the Other Ingredients line, not in any form. Third-party pages listing hydrolyzed collagen peptides for it are wrong, and this site says so plainly rather than letting a convenient misunderstanding stand.
